Our clients often use egg, sperm, and embryo donation to build their families. Such a donation is a beautiful gift. From a legal perspective, it is also a complex area. We help clients negotiate agreements that clearly define parental rights, ownership of the gametes and/or embryos and manage expectations about future contact.

Our work must also protect the future child, a donor-conceived person who is not a party to the agreement. Based on the best practices shared by both the donor-conceived and mental health professional communities, we only draft and review agreements when the donor(s) is known or knowable.
